He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Koenen and Jennie Koenen (Ostendorf); his siblings, Inez Ketchum (Bob), Wayne Koenen (Judy), Justin Koenen, Rita VandenOever (Dick), Paul Koenen and David Koenen; his brothers-in-law, Donald Frey and Gerald Osland; and his siblings' children, Kevin Ketchum, Jody Briola, Kendall Koenen and Karla Frey.
