He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeVries and Anna DeVries (Abraham); his wife Magdalene Lupkes; and his siblings, Sena DeVries (Feckers) and Martha Fitzgerald.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Patty Lupkes of Ackley, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
