He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Henry, Lela Uhlenhopp, Claus and Cora DeBerg; and his parents-in-law, Richard and Wilma Boger.

He is survived by: his parent Norrell Clarice Uhlenhopp (DeBerg) of Aplington; his wife Lynette Uhlenhopp of Aplington; his children, Austin Uhlenhopp (Emily) of Aplington and Ashley Biersner (Nicholas) of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland; his grandchildren, Elliana, Brynley Biersner and Charlotte Uhlenhopp; his parent Merle Uhlenhopp; and his siblings, Jason Uhlenhopp of Kesley, Iowa and Tammy Foxworthy (Larry) of Dike, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
