It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lorraine Lucille Schipper-Kalkwarf of Aplington, Iowa, who passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bierman and Dena Bierman (Harms); her former husband George Alvin Schipper; her husband John Kalkwarf; her children, Marie and Jeffrey Schipper; her grandson Justin Schipper; her great grandchild Noah Dixon; and her siblings, Floyd Bierman, Lawrence Bierman, Berdena Wolff and Imogene Maifeld.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Harms (Harley) of Ackley, Steven Schipper (Connie) of Sheffield, Lori Allen (Bill) of Ackley and Marcie Breitbach (Jim) of Gilbertville. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren with two on the way; one brother.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Reformed Church (905 Caldwell St, Aplington, IA 50604). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
