It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles E. Maness of Arlington, Iowa, born in New Madrid, Missouri, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Luther Thomas Jefferson and Juanita Lucille Maness (Brown); his wife Shela Beth Thein; and his siblings, Kenneth Maness, Dorothy Maness and Thelma Maness.

He is survived by : his daughters, Kathy Yates (James) of Reinbeck, Janet Klatt (Dennis Nuss) of Oelwein, Ronda Strief (Craig) of Strawberry Point and Rebecca Heidt (Darrell) of Arlington; his mother-in-law Dorothy Thein of Arlington; his grandchildren, Shelby Rietgraf (Joshua) of Des Moines, Brittany Yates (Michael Sudbeck) of Reinbeck, Brandi Yates of Reinbeck, Levi Nuss (Jenny) of Oelwein, Courtny Puffett (Brandy) of Hazleton, Amanda Scarborough (Isaac) of Manchester, Kaitlyn Heidt of Arlington and Jakob Heidt of Arlington; his great grandchildren, Johnathan Davis, Isiah Brimmer of Strawberry Point, Myla Nuss, Landon Nuss of Oelwein and Jax Puffett of Hazleton; his siblings, David Maness (Kathy) of Arlington, Raymond Warren of Cedar Rapids, Margie Brewer (Vernon) of Mountain View and Ine Maness of Clarksville, Arkansas; his brothers-in-law, Terry Thein (Barb) of Hawkeye, Todd Thein (Julie) of Hawkeye, Randy Thein (Loni) of Arlington and Kreg Thein of Oelwein; and his pet Princess Maness of Arlington. He is also survived by many aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews; and close friends.

Memorials may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
