He is survived by: his children, Penny Rummel (Larry) of Waterloo, Darla Fridley (Tim Benn) of Delhi and Greg Thode (Kathy) of Sioux City; his grandchildren, Storm Rummel (Tessa), Joelle Airy (Nash), Marcus Fridley and Cole Benn; his great grandchildren, Atlas Rummel, Astoria Rummel, Taysom Rummel, Daxton Airy and Bode Airy; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Morgan of Arlington.
