Charles McLaren Obituary

We announce the death of Charles McLaren of Atlantic, Iowa, who passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 78. Charles will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Don McLaren and Rosemary Casey McLaren; his parents-in-law, Romeo Worth and Dora Worth (Sanny); his brothers, Dan McLaren and Paul McLaren; his siblings-in-law, Lawrence Worth, William "Bill" Worth (Peggy), Opal Struge and Wilma Wagner; his aunt Betty Casey; and his nephew Tom Worth.

He is survived by: his wife Mary McLaren; his children, Darby McLaren (Mary) of Atlantic, Dustin McLaren (Ricci) of Atlantic and Kylie Petty (Dustin) of Urbandale, Iowa.; his grandchildren, Gratt, Chase, Steele, Garrett, Taryn, Hudson, Jayci, Bryn, Peyton and Madison; his siblings, Richard "Dicko" McLaren (Diann) and Suz Simon; and his siblings-in-law, Arlene McLaren, Marilyn McLaren and Mark Worth (Jo).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for later designation to the Atlantic Fire Department and Atlantic Little League.
