He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Karl and Magdalena Fischer (Krumrein); and his son Brad Lee Fischer. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughters, Denise Eldridge (Duke) of Peabody, KS and Carrie Kozlowski (Jim) of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Joel Wheeler, Daniel Wheeler (Paige), Chelsea Ondrick (Alexei), Gretchen Evans, Annaliese Fischer-Lodike, Christian Fischer-Lodike (Carolyn), Rebekah Bernal (Rene), Joshua Kozlowski and Josiah Kozlowski; his great grandchildren, Max, Liam Evans, Nora, Rya Fischer-Lodike, Zane, Quin Bernal, Ben Kozlowski and Major Wheeler; and his sister Barbara Burke.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Atlantic in memory of Gene.
