He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil John and Vina L. Knop (Feldman); his wife Doreen Brockman; his parents-in-law, Theodore "Ted" and Edith Brockman; his siblings, Dwayne Knop (Rose), Darlene Edmundson (Frank) and Maxine Knop; and his brothers-in-law, Bud Brockman (Pat) and Darwin Brockman.
He is survived by: his son Larry Knop (Lois) of Hancock; his grandsons, Troy, Derek, Brock and Keith (Rachel); his daughter Pam Schirm (Neal) of Walnut; his grandchildren, Heather (Lenny), Mindy (Jordan) and Tyler (Ashley); his son Scott Knop (Cindy) of Walnut; and his grandchildren, Kylee (Justin), Britnee (Jamie) and Garret (Danielle). He is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for later designation to the Pottawattamie County Fair.
