She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry John and Arlene Mildred Boten (Kenney); her husband Jack Gearhart; her daughter Michelle Gearhart-Wells; her son-in-law Fred Steckel; and her grandchildren, Danielle Gearhart and Keith Gearhart.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Gearhart (Tammy) of Cincinnati, Cynthia Steckel of Salem and Jan Myers (Brent) of Atlantic, Iowa; her grandchildren, Brandon Steckel (Holly), Carrie Taylor (Dave), Mallory Robinson (Jay), Megan Mewhirter, Nicholas Myers (Michaela), Tad Gearhart, Paige Gearhart and Nina Gearhart; and her great grandchildren, Hallie, Colton, Carsyn, Chloe, Mara, Lane, Abigail, Tyler, Audrey, Avery, River, Samantha, Elijah, Jareth, Ethan and Rebekah.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Atlantic First United Methodist Church (800 Poplar St, Atlantic, IA 50022). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Atlantic Cemetery (63119 White Pole Rd, Atlantic, IA 50022). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the family for later designation.
