He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Nelson of Exira; his children, Fred Nelson (Susan) of Audubon, Rick Nelson (Sheri) of Spencer and Lisa Petersen (Brian) of Rochester, Minnesota; his daughter-in-law Lori Hilsabeck of Slater; his grandchildren, Kris Nelson (Amy Lynne), Amy Bolton (Brian), Jeppe Nelson (Dani), James Nelson (Anna), Sarah Petersen (Nate Dorder), Estee Hilsabeck (Lucas Mortensen), Andrea Orem (Gabe), Jenna Wilmer (Luke) and Reed Petersen (Ruby); and his sister-in-law Mary Nelson of Audubon. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
