With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Westphalen of Atlantic, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Jewett and Louise Jewett (Darrow); her grandfather Cal Darrow; her husband Dallas; her parents-in-law, Leo and Ethel Westphalen; her brother Doug Jewett; her siblings-in-law, Dee Johnson and Gerry Tietz; and her grandparents, Anne Darrow, Sam and Stella Jewett.

She is survived by: her children, Scott Westphalen (Julie), Sandy Westphalen Bice, Sue Westphalen, Steve Westphalen (Roxanne) and Sharon Gaul (Brian); her grandchildren, Samantha (Brent), Paige (Spencer), Dylan, Tiffany (Aric), Tresa, Christine (Joseph), Charles (Anne), Bailey, Carter, Ruth, Larry (Kayla), Richie, Eve, Brek and Elle; her great grandchildren, Bryce, Nolan, Carson, Kimber, Theo, Jonah, Max, Chloe, Ember, Kessler, Augustus, Adaline, Avery, Archer, Sophia, Ella-Mae, Elijah, Courtney, Caleb and Echo; her great great grandchildren, Daxton and Adalyn; her sister Janey Powell (Roger); and her sisters-in-law, Judy Jewett, Lorraine Petersen (Darrell) and Marcy Tietz. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.
