She was predeceased by : her parents, Terrence John Waters and Kathleen Marie Casey; her siblings, T. Michael "Mick" Waters, Timothy Waters and Kathleen "Kim" Wood; her brother-in-law Lary Mills; and her granddaughter Brooke Katherine Holste.

She is survived by : her former life partner Charles "Chuck" Fredrick Holste; her sons, Joseph Michael Holste and Mitchell Eugene Holste; her husband Kenneth Young of Atlantic; her sons, Joe (Jennifer Holste) and Mitch (Rebecca Holste); her grandson Daniel Holste of Massena; and her siblings, William Waters of Massena, Joan Carr (Larry) of Corning and Beth Mills of Massena. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the Jean Young Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.
