With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Margaret JoAnne Utsler of Atlantic, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Margaret JoAnne left this world on April 19, 2024 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John Boyd and Margrethe Boyd (Clausen); her husband Merle Utsler; her brother Robert Boyd; and her sons-in-law, Glen "Bud" Ross, Peter Anderson and Gene Cox.

She is survived by : her children, Gary Utsler (Jan) of Pottsboro, Texas, Diana Cox of The Colony, Texas, Vicki Anderson of Gilman City, Missouri, Martha Ross of Carlisle and Kim Hartshorn (Les) of Carlisle. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grand children, 1 great-great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peterson Funeral Home (415 School St, Carlisle, IA 50047). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Carlisle City Cemetery (1201 S 5th St, Carlisle, IA 50047).
