She was predeceased by: her parents, William Roese and Gertrude Roese (Gaedke); her husband Richard Jespersen; her parents-in-law, Chris and Robena Jespersen; her siblings, Pauline Krueger and Don Roese; her children-in-law, Denny Brown and Sarah Jespersen; and her siblings' children, Cheryl Krueger, Tracy Krueger and Bobby Bennett.
She is survived by: her children, Jill Brown, David Jespersen (Cheri) and Mark Jespersen (Rebekah). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (204 E 5th St, Atlantic, IA 50022). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at the Atlantic Cemetery (63119 White Pole Rd, Atlantic, IA 50022).
Memorials may be directed in Mary Ann's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
