It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Lee Winchell of Atlantic, Iowa, born in Webster City, Iowa, who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Christensen and Claudia "Pearl" Davis Christensen; her husband Sid Winchell; her brother Marvin Christensen; and her son Eric Brown.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Dorothy Christensen; her son Rex; her former husband Richard Brown; her children, Chris Brown (Debbie) and Steve Brown; her stepchildren, Kevin Winchell (Julie), Kelli Garret, Kim Whiley (Allen) and Kris O'Brien (Pat); and her grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Tim Brown, Hunter Brown, Travis Garrett, Tyler Whiley (Jen), Danni Adams (Damon), Jim Henriksen, Christine Bell (Jon) and Stephanie Winchell. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or to the Good Samaritan Fund at Heritage House, and they may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.
