He is survived by: his children, Andrew Karstens of Carroll, IA, Joseph Karstens (Kelsey) of Glidden, IA and Jessica Zuniga (Omar) of Carroll, IA; his grandchildren, Logan Karstens, Josie Karstens, Joanna Karstens, Olivia Karstens, John Hodge and Romy Zuniga; his sister Kathy Schlitz; and his niece Nicole Schlitz. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family members and friends.
