It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles David Kauffman formerly of Audubon, Iowa, born in Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father-in-law Alfred Winther; his siblings, George (Sue Kauffman), Phyllis (Mike Kness), Lois (Hod Kness), Charlotte (Larry Fett) and Gordon Kauffman; his mother-in-law Marie Winther; and his sister-in-law Janice Swesey.
He is survived by : his wife Linda Kauffman of Audubon, Iowa; his children, Laurel (Randy Steig), Chris (Rachel Kauffman) of Emmett, Sara (Tom Paulsen) of Exira and Nick (Heather Kauffman) of Anita, Iowa; his grandchildren, Drew Jacobsen of Des Moines, Anna of Emmett, Molly Kauffman of Emmett and Claire (Blake Asberry); his great grandchild Goldie of Exira; his grandchildren, Carly (Sam Halverson) of Coon Rapids, Camryn Paulsen of Coon Rapids, Grace of Anita, Joe of Anita, Zach Kauffman of Anita and Kate Kauffman of Johnston, Iowa; his brothers, Clark "Sam" (Lois Kauffman) of Audubon and N. Douglas Kauffman of Estherville, Iowa; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Kay (Marlin Lewis) of Audubon, Joanne Bald of Audubon and Deanna Kauffman of Estherville, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
