He is survived by: his father Thomas Ray Nielsen of Spencer, IA; his wife Trisha Nielsen of Audubon, IA; his daughter Adrianne Nielsen; his grandson Emmett Klug of Grimes, IA; his children, Jayden Nielsen of Audubon, IA and Katelyn Nielsen (Cameron Fry) of Carlisle, Iowa; his sister Carla Swank (Jeff) of Spencer, IA; his nephew Michael Swank (Nikki Riley); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Zoie of Spencer, IA, Westen of Spencer, IA and Owen of Spencer, IA; his niece Marisa Patet (Matt) of Minnetonka, MN; and his parents-in-law, Tim Wahlert (Beth) of Audubon, IA and Peggy Weighton of Audubon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Jeff Nielsen Family.
