He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gerald Richard and Annabelle McKenzie (Smith); his wife Tia Rae Peekenschneider; his sons, Logan and Lucas McKenzie; his siblings, Linda McLaughlin, Herman McKenzie, Melissa (Randy Wilkie), Jerri Ann (Kevin Harvey) and Molly (Dave Toney); and his sisters-in-law, Vicki (Corey Gordon) and Heidi Peekenschneider.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (31 Valor Rd, Aurelia, IA 51005). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
