Joanne Steger Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne Steger of Balltown, Iowa, who passed away on September 11, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bernard and Mildred Gassman Sahm; and her brother Jack Sahm. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Christmases, Nascar and Clete; her close friends, Donnie and Mary Brimeyer; her children, Steve Steger (Kathy) of Balltown, Laura Clemen (Dan) of Peosta, IA, Julie Slattery (Dan) of Waunakee, WI and Amy Duehr (Tony) of Balltown; her grandchildren, Kelsey Hill (Chad), Gina Osmanski (Will), Nicole Clemen (Nick Rohlfes), Maria Steger (Daniel Paulson), Kyle Steger, Zachary Steger (Hannah Quinones), Samantha Cooper (Matt), Ellen Slattery, Olivia Duehr and Jack Duehr; her great grandchildren, Haylee and Harper Hill; her brothers, Jerry Sahm (Bonnie) of Balltown and Eugene "Butch" Sahm of Dubuque; and her parents-in-law, Billy Steger (Donna), Jerry Steger (Connie), Mary Ann Lex (Allen) of Dubuque and Lillian Sahm of Dubuque. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, benches, or stones, memorials may be left for Hospice of Dubuque and Camp Albrecht Acres.
