He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick McNertney and Esther McNertney (Mousel); his son David; his children-in-law, Rob Dunscombe and Lisa Ulrich McNertney; and his siblings, Harold, Donald, Thomas, Mary and Willy.
He is survived by: his wife Karen of Bancroft; and his children, Joe McNertney (Sara) of Latimer, Mary Moritz (Mike), Geri Kohlhaas (Tom) of Solon, Sherrie Reutzel (Dana) of Belle Plaine, MN and Tim McNertney (Heather) of Algona. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
