He was predeceased by: his parents, John Roorda and Anna Mae Roorda (DeWinter); and his siblings, Harlan Roorda, Joyce Stone, Barb Foster, Loren Roorda, Marvin Roorda, Marilyn Cook, Norman Roorda and Marge Clayton.
He is survived by: his wife Rosy Roorda; his children, Rusty Lindenman (Val), Sheila Stump (John), Tim Lindenman, Andy Lindenman, Tricia Thomason (Mark), Jeff Roorda (Madeliene) and Shelly Anderson (Scott); and his siblings, Patricia Davis, Elmer Roorda (Delaine), Sharon Fowler (Frank), Penny Mason, Lyle Roorda (Judy) and Bruce Roorda (Judi). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Barnes City United Methodist Church, the Barnes City American Legion Post 145, or the ALS Association may be left or mailed to the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.
