She was predeceased by : her brother John; her son-in-law Gary Petak; and her parents, Carl Busse and Johanna Busse (Jud). She is survived by : her husband John; her children, Jean Petak of Littleton, CO, Michael Foley (Rhonda) of Boone, Elizabeth Foley of Altoona, Jeff Foley (Minh) of San Diego, CA and Melissa Williams of Norwalk; her grandchildren, Samantha, Tina, Ryan, Emma, Jake and Gage; and her siblings, Chuck Busse of Pierre, SD, Marilyn Gronwald of Manson, Robert Busse of Barnum, Carla Hitchcock of Cathedral City, CA and William Busse of Barnum.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home (1408 11th Ave, Manson, IA 50563). A vigil service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas Catholic Church (1076 8th St, Manson, IA 50563).
