It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Lee Sloan of Batavia, Iowa, born in Eldon, Iowa, who passed away on April 11, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Spilman and Irene Acton Spilman; and her husband Clarence Henry Sloan. She is survived by : her children, Dana Lynn Tyler (Jamie) of Le Claire and David Allen Sloan of West Branch; her grandsons, Josh Sloan of Oskaloosa and Dave Fox (Mindy) of Le Claire; and her sisters, Anna Marie Swartz of Batavia and Virginia Breummer of Dover, DE. She is also survived by 2 step-grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren, two step great-great-grandchildren.
