She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas R. Schmidt and Donna N. Schmidt (Wood); and her brother Kerwin Schmidt. She is survived by: her son Austin Barrett of Topeka, KS; her sisters, Marci Peterson (Gary) of Battle Creek, IA and Gena Prazan (Tom) of Omaha, NE; and her aunts and uncles, Judy Schmidt of Battle Creek, IA and Francis "Teko" Wood (Cheryl) of El Paso, TX. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
