He is survived by: his children, Curtis Schramm (Rosland) of Battle Creek, IA and Jolene Peffer (Ross) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandsons, Micheal Eakens (Kelly Wilson) of Blair, NE and William Eakens (Christina Harrison) of Bellvue, NE; his great grandchildren, Shane Eakens, Jacob Eakens and Madilyn Eakens; his brothers, Hilbert Schramm (Corrine) of Lake Tanglewood, TX, Lenus Schramm of Pocahontas, IA, Ralph Schramm (Barb) of Ankeny, IA and Leon Schramm (Marilyn); and his sister-in-law Lois Schramm of Atlantic, IA.
He was the recipient of the American Heart Association Award of Merit for saving someone's life.
