He was predeceased by: his brother Lanson. He is survived by: his parents, Carl DeGoey and Joyce DeGoey (Van Wyk); his wife Sandy DeGoey of Rhodes; his children, Jillana Valbracht (Stephen) of Marshalltown and Joshua DeGoey (Geri) of Baxter; his grandchildren, Logan, Mason, Aria Valbracht, Mackenzie and Tucker DeGoey; his parents-in-law, Melvin and Marilyn Jansen of Newton; his brothers-in-law, Bryan Jansen (Sue) of Ankeny and Curt Jansen (Bonita) of Newton; his brother Kent DeGoey (Candice) of Newton; Kevin. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1115 E 19th St N, Newton, IA 50208-2539).

Memorials to Heartland Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
