With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jacob Parke Lewis of Beacon, Iowa, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 38. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Bud, Mary Lewis, Howard Sterling and Rick Howard; his in-laws, Amy Kerby and Peyton Kelderman; his sister-in-law Amber Lewis; his cousin Tyler "Bubba" Howard; his nephew Emerett Howard; and his niece Gianna Howard.
He is survived by: his parents, Bill Lewis (Shannon) of Beacon and Julie Howard (James) of Beacon; his wife Jessica Kelderman of Belle Plaine; his father-in-law Peyton Kelderman; his children, Connor Kissner of Oskaloosa, Parker Lewis (Hayley) of Oskaloosa, Braxton Lewis of Oskaloosa, Kaidence Lewis of Oskaloosa, Joceslyn Lewis of Oskaloosa and Gabriella Lewis of Oskaloosa; his grandson Beau Lewis; his grandmothers, Debra Parton (Bob) of Beacon and Debra Howard of Oskaloosa; and his siblings, Makayla Lewis of Beacon, Blake Howard (Mallory) of Eddyville, Kirkland Howard of Beacon, Megan Alger (Terry) of Newton, Madi Alger (Dylan) of Knoxville, Alex Stanhope (Justine) of St. Clair, Andrew Stanhope of Tracy, Adam Stanhope of Beacon and Nicole Lewis of Oskaloosa.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bates Funeral Chapel (114 S 7th St, Oskaloosa, IA 52577). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Coal Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Jake Lewis Memorial Fund and will be divided among his children.
