It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth C. Squiers of Belle Plaine, Iowa, who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Fitzgerald and Anna Fitzgerald (Schallau); her husband Richard Squiers (Belle Plaine) of Michael's Catholic Church; her sons, Richard and Joseph; her daughter-in-law Linda Squiers; and her grandchildren, Becky and Bobbie Jo Berger.
She is survived by: her children, David Squiers, Susan Berger (Jim), Jim Squiers (Linda), Mary Young (Steve), Tom Squiers (Sue) and Tim Squiers (Tam); and her daughters-in-law, Julie and Ardy Squiers. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 94 great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (1302 9th Ave, Belle Plaine, IA 52208). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Essence of Life Hospice or St. Michael's Catholic Church.
