She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Berthel and Bernice Berthel (Pollock); her husband Virgil Nemmers of John's Catholic Church; her siblings, Lyda Herrig (Pete), Mary Lou Mottet (George) and Donald Berthel; her sons, Darrell and Duane Nemmers; and her siblings-in-law, Alvin, Loras, Robert, Joseph Nemmers and Shirley Wilming.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Nemmers (Deb) of Bellevue Iowa, Mary Beth Michels (Rick) of Bellevue Iowa and Joe Nemmers (Judy) of Des Moines, Iowa; and her siblings-in-law, Pat Berthel, Beverly, Leota, Lois Nemmers and Dale Wilming. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home & Cremation Service (100 N 6th St, Bellevue, IA 52031). A Mass will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (405 Franklin St, Bellevue, IA 52031).
A memorial fund has been established in Algean's memory.
