He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Helmle and Mary Helmle (Haxmeier); his sisters, Sharon Gaherty and Lori Helmle; and his grandparents, Joseph, Mary Helmle, Louis and Katherine Haxmeier.
He is survived by: his children, Holly Helmle (Chad Michels) of Bellevue, Garret Helmle (Brooklynn) of Kokomo, IN, BriAnna Budde (Dave Klauer) of Bellevue and Crystal Ayres (Sean) of LaGrange, GA; his grandchildren, Britany Deppe (Chance), Chase Meggers, Teegan Helmle, Carter Michels and Colson Ayres; his great grandchildren, Avery, Sophia and Tucker Deppe; his siblings, Dennis (Vicki) of Bernard, IA, Roger (Kathy) of Ward, AK, Steve (Cindy) of Bellevue, Randy (LuAnn) of Dubuque, Donna Olson (Todd) of Glendale, AZ, Joseph Pereira (David) of Bettendorf and Donald Jr. (Cherri) of LaMotte; and his brother-in-law Terry Gaherty of Dubuque. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
