She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald Prawit and Jane Prawit (Roberts); her husband Nicholaus Schmit; her children, David Schmit and Paula Schmit; and her sisters, Janet Chapman and Ruth Pospishel.
She is survived by : her children, Nicholette Barbee (Lee) of Broomfield, Jane Kennedy (Jim) of Lee's Summit, Jill Hall (Brian) of Ooltewah, Virginia Anderson (Rick) of Boone, Sue Symens (Brian) of Hampton and Mark Schmit (Stephanie) of Belmond. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews.
