Alta Ruth Parkin Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Ruth Parkin (Bettendorf, Iowa), born in Elgin, Iowa, who passed away on December 23, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bjarne "Barney" and Renetta Larson (Ruroden); her husband Don Parkin; and her siblings, Bernell, Arthur Larson and Shirley Kay Boese.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry Parkin (Randall), Debi Stevens (Mike), Bryan Parkin, Karen Parkin and Mike Parkin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Due to the current pandemic, a funeral service will not be held and the family will schedule a Celebration of Life later in 2021.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that memorials be made to the Silver Creek Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in LeClaire and that you all cherish each and every day and hold the one you love a little tighter in memory of Alta.
