He was predeceased by : his parents, Lela Cary (Hoffman) and Dennis Sr. Cary; his brothers, Darwin Cary, Eugene Krieger, Dallas Cary and Danny Cary Sr.; and his nephews, Bart Cary, Brett Cary, Danny Cary Jr. and Junior.
He is survived by : his sons, Dennis Cary (Cindy) of Bettendorf and Stephen Cary (Sylvia) of La Mesa; his grandchildren, Rose, Madalyn and Travis of New Mexico; his sons, Talia and Eric of Bettendorf; his sister Colleen Lehman (Pete) of Bettendorf; and his nieces and nephews, Brian, Brad Cary, Craig Lehman, Pam Hughes, Vickie Smith and Linda Lienhard.
Not being able to play consistently through the pandemic was his greatest frustration.
Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
