He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Kenneth and Flossie Lea Mott (Burk); his wife Janet C. Koering; and his grandsons, Eirik-Andre Breyholtz-Mott and Donald L. Stegall.

He is survived by : his children, Michael Mott of Keosauqua, Iowa, Ron Mott (Trine Breyholtz), Jim (Jeanne Mott) and Michelle'Missy' (Christopher Juehring). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
