We announce the death of James Garner in Bettendorf, Iowa, born in Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 68. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Garner and Mary Garner (Christensen); and his sister Carol Garner. He is survived by: his wife Jenny Eiklor; his sister Nancy Ebert (James) of St. Paul, MN; his daughter Elizabeth; his brother David Garner (Jill Seaholm) of Rock Island, IL; his nieces and nephews, Alana Opdahl, Jackie Bankert, Brandon McQuaid, Niki Roszkowski and Carissa Perez; his mother-in-law Eileen Eiklor; his sisters-in-law, Beth McQuaid and Val Amans; and his pets, Barney and Mason.
