He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd Haines and Loretta Haines (Wessel); and his brothers, Jerry and Robert. He is survived by : his wife Wilma French; his daughter Tammy Rick of Clinton; his grandson Trevor Rick (Melissa) of Clinton; and his great grandchildren, Lewis and LeRoy.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Pape Funeral Home (2308 Pershing Blvd, Clinton, IA 52732). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
