He was predeceased by : his parents, Myron Boten and Ruth Boten (Anderson); his wife Judy Eileen Burrack; his daughter Patricia Lynn; and his siblings, Larry Boten and Mary Twedt.

He is survived by : his children, Carol Boten (Frank Gordon) of Lebanon and Russell Boten (Lisa Zionkowski-Boten) of Camas.
