He is survived by: his wife BJ Downes; his children, Bradley (Lauren Downes) and Rebecca (Tom Lubarsky); his grandchildren, Audrey, Caroline, Collin Downes, Nora and Benjamin Lubarsky; and his siblings, Sandra Benda, Daniel Downes (JoAnne), Richard Downes (Kim), Denise Nitcher (Travis) and Jacqueline Dykstra (Robert). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
