He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvie Phillips and Mae Phillips (McGlasson); his wife LaVene; and his siblings, Nancy Dickinson and Butch Weisse.
He is survived by: his children, Parris Rappel (Jim) of Yuma, Michael Phillips II of Waukegan, Danielle Kent (Jim) of Bettendorf and Nicole Phillips of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Zach Rappel, Peyton Phillips, Gabrielle Meidenbauer, Alex Kent and Asia O'Conner; and his great grandchildren, Koa Henderson and Malikai Taylor.
Memorials may be made to the family and will be used to purchase baseball gloves for underprivileged youth in Mike's honor.
