She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Newman Gwaltney and Madeline "Peggy" Gwaltney (Smith); her husband Harry Verwayne Heppler; her children, Donna Burhop (Ed) of Oak Creek, Karen "Kara" Schurr (Dan) of LeClaire, Iowa and Steven; her grandchildren, Seth Heppler of Boise, Nick Schurr (Regina Pauly) of New York, Sammi Brueggen (Jon) of LeClaire, Madeline Ognenoff of Oak Creek, Allison Schurr of Kansas City, Tim Heppler of Boise and Doug Heppler of Boise; her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Ryker and Myla Brueggen; her caregivers, Anna, Katie and Lauren; and her brother Donald Gwaltney.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers' Association or the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, Indiana where several of her family members are buried.
