With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ray Houston of Bettendorf, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Houston and Florence Houston (Eivins); his sister Janet; and his half-sisters, Jean, Joan and Doris.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sanderson; his children, Sheri Houston-Lay of Sherrard, Illinois and Doug Houston of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Anthony Lay (Ashley), Ashley Lay, Christina Lay, Adam Houston and Wesley Houston (Liz); his great grandchild Aurynn Houston; his brother Bill Houston (Debbie) of Bettendorf; his nephew Brian Houston (Corrie) of Davenport; and his niece Deanna Good (Joe) of Bloomington, Illinois. He is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
