He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schiffke and Mildred Schiffke (Daasch); his wife Caroline Czerwinski; his brother Donald Schiffke; and his sons-in-law, Richie Frederick and David Hebbeln.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lynne Schiffke, Deborah Pinczer (Mike Fennesy), Barbara Meyer (Todd) and Sara Schiffke; and his brother Kenneth Schiffke (Susine). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home (644 River Dr, Bettendorf, IA 52722). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the River Catholic Church (28200 226th St Pl, Le Claire, IA 52753).
