He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Fran" Fitzpatrick and Ferris Fitzpatrick (Hyett). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Matthew Fitzpatrick (Valentina) of Portland, OR, Susan Brooks of Des Moines and Sara Swanson (Steve) of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Louis, Thomas, Francis Brooks, JMichael, Ava and Jett Young; and his siblings, Susan Fitzpatrick of Albuquerque, NM, Greg Schaefer (Toni) of Marion, IA, Joe Schaefer of Burlington, WI, MaryAnn Dombrowski (Greg) of Verona, WI and Mark Schaefer (Sue) of Lee's Summit, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or Wounded Warrior Project.
