He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Otting and Mary Vivian Otting (Moore); his wife Carol Ann Sandway; his siblings, Dennis, Fredrick, Alwyn Otting, Elinor DeVine, Jeanne Dunagan, Elaine Brown and Gloria Butler; his son-in-law Joshua Haberkorn; and his great grandchild Quinn.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Jean Shadle; his children, Michael Otting (Joyce), Mary Dolis (Michael), Timothy Otting (Judith) of Apple Valley, MN and Molly Carlson (Jason); his grandchildren, Vincent Otting, Benjamin Otting, Elizabeth Haberkorn, Madeline Otting, Becka Keith (Ty), Cameron Otting, Thomas Dolis (Samantha) and Nicholas Dolis; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Doelger and Susan Otting.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (417 Main St, Davenport, IA 52801). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (804 E 39th St, Davenport, IA 52807).
Memorials may be made to Empowering Abilities (formerly HDC), Assumption High School, or the Women's Choice Center.
