Though Wayne may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Howell and Grace Howell (Foster). He is survived by: his wife Helen Preston; his sons, Mark Howell (Juanita) and Steve Howell; his grandchildren, Zach Howell of Ankeny, IA, Noel Howell, Anna Howell and Montana; his sister Joan Lahl (Tom); and his pet Chloe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, 724 W. 2nd Avenue in Milan in his memory.
