“I was so sorry to hear of Genes passing. I first met Gene at Maynes Market in Fairfield in the 80's. Then a few years later I would be selling in Oskaloosa and would frequently run into him and Ducky selling radio ads up there. It was so much fun talking and laughing with them. I also had the pleasure of parading with him in and the Shriners. He actually helped me with my costume which was some old fireman coats and pants. Lots of good memories I will always have with Gene.”
