It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Holmes of Birmingham, Iowa, who passed away on November 2, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Don Holmes and Barbara Holmes (Pratt); his spouse Lani Glass; his children, Alexi Downey (Richard) of Cleveland, GA and Brandon Hainline (Josie) of Bondurant, IA; his sisters, Deb Glass (Dan) of North Liberty and Cathy Wyatt (David) of Ruthven, IA; his grandchildren, Bailey, Paxten Hainline, Bryce and Roy Downey; his sister Cheryl Johnson; and his brother-in-law Allen Miller.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cranston Family Funeral Home (2805 W Burlington Ave, Fairfield, IA 52556). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hock Residence (13751 Osage Ave, Birmingham, IA 52535).
