It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Givens of Blanchard, Iowa, who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mose "Jim" and Helen Givens (Hatten); his wife Carolyn Givens (Van Renan); his son-in-law Chris Gibler; his great grandchildren, June and Travis Dendy; and his brother James "Buddy" Givens.
He is survived by: his children, James Givens (Corrine) of Shenandoah, IA, Patsy Gibler of Villisca, IA, Michael Givens (Christine) of Clarinda, IA and Debra Givens (Kenny Walker) of New Market, IA; his grandchildren, Cassie Beggs (Casey), Mary Lawson (Dustin), Breanne Gibler, Janelle Swartz (Lance), Matt Givens, Nic Givens, Justin Scroggie, Jason Scroggie, Catlin Scroggie (Satya), Nicole Givens, Jill Fichter (Derrick), Jennifer Crosby (TJ), Sam Gammell (Kenny) and Rabeka Rine (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Sophie, Grayson, Oliver, Zoey, Wrenley, Angelique, Nikita, Keira, Caylee, Kenneth, Shaylea, Kara and Savanna.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home (1220 Main St, Hamburg, IA 51640). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.
